There is something just so evocative about an image in black & white. I can push the shadows to deepen the moodiness of a pose while keeping that softness that is so lovely with boudoir, and that doesn’t always translate in colour.

Before specializing in Boudoir Photography, I did all types of sessions. It would always sneak up on me how much I enjoyed photographing maternity, this special time in a woman’s life.
Although most my sessions were either in-home sessions or outdoors, which I did love, I truly feel that having my own studio space now creates a different type of experience for soon to be mothers.

If you’ve followed me a for a while now, you will know that I am still absolutely obsessed with this session from last year (sorry not sorry ). After mainly shooting bright and airy images over my wedding photography career, this change up was SO inspiring. This babe was the sweetest inviting me to her stunning home, and the lighting and the vibe paired with her effortlessly cool style made this session just the most fun to experiment with.

Over the years I’ve stressed many times because my images didn’t feel consistent, or look like everybody else’s. Currently, I gravitate towards a moodier style but what I’m finding with each session is that it is so much fun to PLAY. I can shoot moody, cinematic, bright and airy, and my clients will still be in love with their images.
In-Home Session / Hamilton Boudoir Photographer
Last year before I had my own studio, this beautiful human invited me to her g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s Hamilton apartment for a mini portrait session. I was inspired by super cute wardrobe, and knew immediately that the denim overalls had to be in photos. I love seeing how a piece of clothing can really direct the vibe of a shoot, and let me tell you…it was a VIBE. Just see for yourself!
Gill + Peter // Cozy In-Home Session
On cold winter days, nothing quite beats spending all morning warm in bed with coffee and snuggles. There’s something so special about photographing couples in love. The way they look at each other, the gentleness, swoon-worthy kisses. I’m such a romantic at heart, these sessions really just get me. Not only are they fun for me to photograph, I really love to take these sessions slow and watch the natural connection unfold. It’s beautiful. Love is beautiful.
